DETAIL:
It is the tour of acclimatization and natural beauty, without missing the traditional and historical; out of Huaraz, the road runs along the right bank of the Santa River to cross to the other side at the height of Jangas village in the Black Mountains. Hence part of the Cordillera Blanca, especially Huandoy, Huascaran, Hualcán and Nevados Cup is observed; while the vehicle continues to move pear passing through the village of Yungar later is Anta. Itinerary:
Pick up at the bus terminal and transfer to the reserved hostel in Huaraz.
The staff of "Enrique Expedition Tours" and the trekking guide will inform you about the last details of the trekking expedition to Laguna 69 – Cordillera Blanca – Peru.
Huaraz (3090m) – Yungay – Cebollpampa (3900 m) – Laguna 69 – Huaraz.
Pick up at the hotel around 6.00 am and transfer by private transport from Huaraz (3100m) towards the northern part of the “Callejón de Huaylas” (corridor of the Huaylas) to the city of Yungay (2500m) at 55 km. We will follow the route to the eastern side of the Cordillera Blanca up to the upper parts of the valley Llanganuco at 28 km. From the starting point of our trek Cebollapampa (3900m) it takes about 4 hours to climb up to Lake 69. Here we can appreciate a wonderful view of Mount Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Pisco, Huandoy, Yanapaccha and Chacraraju. After about an hour enjoying this beautiful lake we will return by the same way to Cebollapampa, where we will take the bus back to the city of Yungay - Huaraz.

The tourist circuit of the archaeological site of Chavin, is the cultural and human part of the “Callejón de Huaylas” (corridor of the Huaylas). To get to Chavin we will leave Huaraz heading south to pass through the city of Recuay (3394 m), Ticapampa and Cátac where we will take another route for about 70 km. On the way to the archaeological site we will visit Querococha Lake (3980 m). Afterwards we will arrive at a place, where we can observe the profile map of Peru on a mountain.We will pass the tunnel Cahuish (4500 m) and enter to the Conchucos region, where we will see the "Cristo de la Paz". From there we will descend passing Tambillo, the viewpoint of Mosna, Shirapata, Hirca-Huari, Machac, Quercos, the thermal medical baths of Chavin and finally arrive at the archaeological site. After we will have lunch in the modern town of Chavin we will visit the archaeological remains, which are located between the rivers Mosna and Wacheqsa at altitude about 3177 m (Natural Region Quechua). The area we will visit has an extent of about 17 hectares. From originally 26 galleries we can only see four, of supposedly 56 “Cavezas Clavas” (famous heads) Heads only one is “in situ”. What we will visit of the archaeological remains is: The Square Place, the Gate of the Falcons, the Circular Place, the Lanzon Gallery, the Gallery of the Labyrinths, the Gallery of the prisoners, the Gallery of the “Doble Ménsula”, the room of the exposure, etc. After the visit in the afternoon we will return to Huaraz on the same road.

Details:
The tour starts from Huaraz to Catac, where we will have a visitors stop to get served coca tea, have the chance to walk around, take some photos and make our last purchases. From there we will drive to Pachacoto, the road is partly dirt road (35Km) going eastwards and leading to Mount Pastoruri. On the way we will enter to the Huascaran National Park, sector “Carpa”. We will observe lake Patococha on the route to get to the control of the PNH, where we will pay the entrance fee per person. Ahead lies the source of the carbonated mineral water of Pumapampa, which is possible to drink. Following we will observe the "water eye of Pumashimi pashimin puma", a small lake which is about 10 meters in diameter. It has inside rocks of various forms, that change color depending on the position of the sun and also "the Puya Raimondi", the important inflorescence plant, which only exists in the Andes of South America. Next to the road we will see a large rock with cave paintings. The road winds uphill to Huarapasca pass, where we take the road to the south that leads after about 2 km to a parking side. To the glacier we will go by foot or horseback riding and from there we will have to walk almost one kilometer to arrive on the glacier. Once we are upon Pastoruri (5400 m))you will have the chance to practice ski. Here there are organized ski championships in the Week of Mountaineering.
