Itinerary:
When you arrive in Huaraz, our staff will be waiting for you at the bus terminal to transfer you to the hotel, booked by us. After that you will be presented to "Enrique Expedition Tours" and your mountain guide will inform you about the details for the expedition and Santa Cruz, as well for the ascents to the mountains Pisco in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru.
In the evening your mountain guide will give you the last details and logistical information for the expedition of the Santa Cruz trekking and climbing of Mount Pisco.
1st day.- Huaraz (3090m) – Caraz (2290m) – Cashapampa (2900m) – Llamacorral (3760m).
Pick up at the hotel and transfer by private transport from Huaraz to the city of Yungay – Caraz. From here on until the village of Cashapampa we can enjoy the east side of the Cordillera Blanca. In Cashapampa, the donkey driver and his donkeys will be waiting for us to transport our trekking gear. From there we start the trek up until we reach our first camp Llamacorral (3760m).
2ndday.- Llamacorral (3760m) – Base Camp Alpamayo (4600m) – Taullipampa (4250m).
We will leave the camp Llamacorral and pass by the lakes Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha. On a zigzag path will go up until we arrive at the ravine of Ayhuaycocha. We will head further to the base camp of Mount Alpamayo, where we can see a lake of ice that is named like the ravine. We will enjoy the view of the mountains Aguja,Santa Cruz, Pumapampa, Curuicachajana, Quitaraju, Alpamayo, Pucahirca, Rinrinjirca, Taullipampa, Artesonraju, Paria and Millishraju. While we will return by the same way to Camp Taullipampa (4250m), we will have a very nice view of Mount Taulliraju.
3rd day.- Taullipampa (4250m) – Punta Unión (4750m) – Paria Valley (3870m).
This day we will pass Punta Union (4750m), from where you have a breathtaking view of the Cordillera Blanca, as well as of the ravine of Santa Cruz. We will observe the mountains Taulliraju, Rinrijircas, Pucahircas, Quitaraju, Santa Cruz, Artesonraju, Pyramid of Garcilaso, Paria and Millishraju. We will continue our trek to Camp Paria (3870m).
4th day.- Paria Valley (3870m) – Vaqueria (3850m) – Cebollapampa (3900m) – Base Camp Pisco (4600m).
We will hike along the Valley of Huaripampa and observe picturesque villages like Yurma, Huaripampa, Colcabamba. Furthermore we will have a spectacular view of Chacraraju. When we will arrive at the village Vaqueria, we will have a private bus drive back to Huaraz. We will first drive over the Portachuelo pass (4767 m), where we will have a great view of the Cordillera Blanca and the mountains Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Pisco, Chacraraju and Yanapaccha. Then we will go down until we will arrive at Cebollapampa, where we will take again the donkeys to transport our climbing and camping equipment. After that we will hike up until the base camp of Mount Pisco (4600m).
5th day.- Base Camp (4600m) – Summit of Pisco (5750m) – Base Camp (4600m) - Cebollapampa (3900m) – Yungay – Huaraz – Hotel.
This day we will leave the camp at around 03:00 am. From the base camp on our way to the summit we will climb over a moraine, what will take us about 2 hours to pass, before we will arrive at the glacier (approx. 4 hours). Once we are in the glacier, we will climb along some small cracks up until we will reach the summit of Mount Pisco. There we have a large panoramic 360° view to majestic mountains like the Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Chacraraju, Artesonraju and Alpamayo. After that we will return to the base camp. donkey driver will load the donkeys to walk back downhill to Cebollapampa, where we are expected by a bus of the Company "Enrique Expedition Tours", that will bring us to Yungay – Huaraz – Hotel.

Transportation from the hotel to the bus terminal "Cruz del Sur" and departure from Huaraz.

1st day: Acclimatization trek, Laguna Churup (4450m.) – Hostel
We leave from Huaraz in a private bus to Pitec (3850 m.)First we will pass the town of LLupa (3650 m.); at this point there is a full view of the southern end of the Cordillera Blanca and the picturesque towns on the outskirts of Huaraz. Arriving to Pitec we will begin our hike through Churup Gorge and after a few hours of hiking we will reach Laguna Churup. Here we will rest for about an hour, at which point we will begin our descent back to the city of Huaraz.
Organization of technical materials and logistical information, given by our Guide (AGMP - UIAGM - IFMGA), about the expedition trek: Santa Cruz – Pisco Mountain.
2nd day: Huaraz (3100m.) – Cashapampa (2900m.) – Llamacorral (3760m.)
Pick-up at hotel and transport in a private bus, Huaraz - Caraz - Cashapampa (2900m.); donkeys and a driver will be waiting in Cashapampa to receive personal and camping equipment; also at this point we will begin our trek, stopping at Llamacorral (3760m.) to camp for the night.
3rd day: Llamacorral (3760m.) – Cb Alpamayo - Taullipampa (4250m.)
Leaving camp we will pass lakes, Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha, and we will ascend to a panorama of the mountains: Aguja de Santa Cruz, Pumapampa, Curuicachajana, Quitaraju, ALPAMAYO, Pucahirca, Rinrinjirca, Taullipampa, Artesonraju, Paria, and Millishraju. Also, we will enter the gorge of Arhuaycocha; where we will have a beautiful view of Lake Arhuaycocha. And finally, we will reach Camp Taullipampa (4250m.), which has a breath taking view of Taulliraju.
4th day: Taullipampa (4250m.) – Punta Unión - Quebrada Paria (3870m.)
This day we will go over Punta Unión Pass (4750m.), from which we will have an impressive view of the Cordillera Blanca, including the mountains: Taulliraju, the Rinrijircas, the Pucahircas, Quitaraju, the Santa Cruz, Artesonraju, Pirámide de Garcilazo, Paria, and Millishraju; and a complete view of Santa Cruz Valley. Afterwards, we will reach Camp Paria (3870m.).
5th day: Quebrada Paria (3870m.) - Vaqueria (3850m.) – Cebollapampa (3900m.) - Cb Nevado Pisco (4600m.)
We will begin this day by hiking the length of the valley, and observe the picturesque villages of Yurma, Huaripampa, and Colcabamba; and a spectacular view of Chacraraju. Finally, we will reach the town of Vaqueria, where we will be transported by private bus to Cebollapampa (3900m.), by way of Portachuelo Pass (4767m.); with a view of the mountains: Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Pisco, and Chacraraju. In Cebollapampa, we will be received by donkeys and a driver to assist us on our way to the base camp of Pisco (4660m.).
6th day: Cb Pisco (4,600) – Summit Pisco ( 5,750m) – Cb.
Early start (3-4 am) for the summit climb. We cross a moraine and climb to the glacier tongue, and then to the col, which offers excellent views of summits of Cordillera Blanca. The route to the summit crosses a crevasse to reach the summit, where a 360º view around makes us forget the fatigue. Descent to base camp.
7th day: Cb – Cebollapampa – Yungay – Huaraz – Hotel.
Descent from base camp to Cebollapampa where transportation will take us back to the hostal in Huaraz.

When we will arrive at the village Vaqueria, we will go in direction to the west part of the valley. After a few hours of hiking we will arrive at the campsite Pampamachay. From there we will start to hike up with the view of the mountains Chopicalqui and Yanapaccha. At 4130m we will arrive at our camp Pacchapampa.
5th day.- Pacchapampa (4130m) – Portachuelo de Llanganuco – Laguna 69 – Cebollapampa.
In the morning after our breakfast we will hike to the pass of Portachuelo (4767m) from where we will have a view of the mountains Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Pisco and Chacraraju. From there we will go down to km42 from where we start the trek to lake 69 (4400m). After a trekking of approx. 2 hours we will arrive at the beautiful lake 69, located at the foot of Mount Chacraraju. Here we will take our time to enjoy the incredible colors of this lake before we will return to the camp of Cebollapampa.
6th day.- Cebollapampa (3900m) – Base Camp Pisco (4600m).
This day our donkeydrivers will transport with their donkeys our climbing and camping equipment. We will hike up until the base camp of Mount Pisco (4600m).
7th day.- Base Camp (4600m) – Summit of Pisco (5750m) – Base Camp (4600m).
This day we will leave the camp at around 03:00 am. From the base camp on our way to the summit we will climb over a moraine, what will take us about 2 hours to pass, before we will arrive at the glacier (approx. 4 hours). 1st day.- Acclimation trek to Lake Churup (4450m).
We will leave the city of Huaraz by private bus to Pitec (3850m). First we will pass the colorful villages of Llupa (3650m) outside of Huaraz, where we will have a panoramic view of the southern part of the Cordillera Blanca. Arriving in Pitec we start the hike to the Lake Churup at 4450m. First we enter the valley of Churup, after some hours of walking we will reach the Lake Churup, where we will stay for one hour before we return to our hotel in Huaraz.
After the trekking we will do the organization of personal and mountaineering material and will get logistical information by our mountain guide (UIAGM) about the expeditions we are going to do.
2nd day.- Huaraz – Pitec - Quilcayhuanca Valley – Camp Cayeshpampa (4100m).
We will pick you up at the hotel and leave by private bus towards the east of Huaraz. We will pass by the villages of Unchus and Llupa before we will arrive at Pitec (3800m). From there our carrier will take our camping equipment and we will start our trekking through a plane area towards the Quilcayhuanca valley til we reach our first camp Cayeshpampa (4100m).
3rd day.- Cayeshpampa (4100m) – Tullpacocha Lakes (4300m) and Cuchillacocha (4625m) – Pass of Huapi (5020 m) – Cojup .
This day we will hike on a path that goes up to Cuchillacocha Lake (4625m), that lies at the foot of Mount Pucaranra (6156m) and Chinchey (6222m). Then we will continue to climb up to Huapi Pass (5020m). It will take us about 5 hours to arrive at this highest point of the circuit. From here we will have a great view of the mountains Huapi, Pucaranra, Tullparaju, Andavete, Cayesh, Maparaju, San Juan, Palcaraju, Ishinca and Ranrapalca. After this we will descend to the beautiful valley of Cojup, where we will stay the night to enjoy the sunset behind the mountains.
4thday.- Cojup Valley – Base Camp Vallunaraju (4200m).
Today we will hike down through the valley of Cojup until its entrance. There our transport will be waiting for us, that brings us to the Llaca Valley. We will hike up until the base camp of Vallunaraju, next to the mountain refuge of the “Casa de Guias”.
5th day.- Base Camp Vallunaraju (4200m) – Moraine Camp Vallunaraju (5000m).
This day we will leave the base camp in direction to the moraine. First we will you have to go back about 180 meters from the campsite. Then we will climb up to the right along a marked path and after 2 hours of walking we will reach the moraine of Mount Vallunaraju, our camp (5000m).
6th day.- Moraine Camp (5000m) – Summit Vallunaraju (5686m) – Llaca Valley – Huaraz.
We will leave very early (3-4 am) to the summit. First we will climb up a short slope of 35-40°, after we will arrive the glacier we follow it by gentle slopes until we pass through the left side of Vallunaraju South. After we arrive at the col, connecting the two peaks, we will take the left path with a slope of 40° to reach the summit. There we will have an impressive view of the “Callejón de Huaylas” (Huaylas Corridor). The descent follows the same route to the camp, where we will take a car to Huaraz and our hostel.

Pick-up at hotel, 7:00am; from the hotel we will head toward the cities of Yungay and Caraz. From Caraz we will go east to the town of Cashapampa; where our donkeys and donkey driver will be waiting to receive our camping and personal gear. From this point we will begin our trek to the first campsite, at Llamacorral (3760m).

Day 3: Llamacorral (3760m) – Base Camp Alpamayo - Taullipampa (4250m)
Leaving camp we will pass lakes, Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha, and we will ascend to a panorama of the mountains: Aguja de Santa Cruz, Pumapampa, Curuicachajana, Quitaraju, ALPAMAYO, Pucahirca, Rinrinjirca, Taullipampa, Artesonraju, Paria, and Millishraju. Also, we will enter the valley of Arhuaycocha; where we will have a beautiful view of Lake Arhuaycocha. And finally, we will reach Camp Taullipampa (4250m), which has a breath taking view of Taulliraju.
(Ascent: + 490m; Duration: 5 – 6 hoursApprox.).
Day 4: Taullipampa (4250m) – Punta Unión (4750m) - Quebrada Paria (3870m)
This day we will go over Punta Unión Pass (4750m), from which we will have an impressive view of the Cordillera Blanca, including the mountains: Taulliraju, the Rinrijircas, the Pucahircas, Quitaraju, the Santa Cruz, Artesonraju, Pirámide de Garcilazo, Paria, and Millishraju; and a complete view of Santa Cruz Valley. Afterwards, we will reach Camp Paria (3870m).
(Ascent: + 500m; Duration: 6 - 7 hours Approx.).
Day 5: Quebrada de Paria (3870) - Vaqueria (3850) – Portachuelo de Llanganuco – Cebollapampa.
We walk back to the valley, observing the picturesques Yurma, Huaripampa, Colcabamba. We enjoy a spectacular view at Chacraraju and the village Vaquería. From Vaqueria we catch the bus to Cebollapampa, passing the pass of Portachuelo (4767 m.s.n.m). From here we can see the summits of Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Pisco, Chacraraju. After that we descend to our camping-site at Cebollapampa (3900 m).
(Ascent: + 897m; Duration: 5 – 6 HoursApprox.).
Day 6: Cebollapampa - Laguna 69 (4400) – Laguna Llanganuco – Huaraz – Hostal.
After the breakfast we start our walk to lake 69, which will take us some hours. Observing the beautiful landscape we will arrive at lake 69. There we rest for one hour before we return to Cebollapampa. Transfer to Huaraz by bus.
Day 7: Rest day in Huaraz.
Day 8: Huaraz – Pashpa (3600m) – Cb Ishinca (4200m).
Leave Huaraz on private transportation to the village of Collón or Pashpa, where we meet the donkeys and arrieros that will help carry the climbing gear. Here is the starting point of the trek to base camp, which takes about 4-5 hours depending on the trekking pace. The base camp is found at 4.200m.
Day 9: Cb Ishinca (4200m) - C1 Tocllataju (5300m).
Cb Trek to camp 1 of Tocllaraju (approx. 6 hours). The last 2 hours of the climb are on the glacier and may require roping up.
Day 10: C1 Tocllataju (5300m) – Summit Tocllaraju (6.034m) – Cb.
Early start (2am) to the summit of Tocllaraju (6.034m), and return to camp Cb Ishinca . The round trip to the summit and back takes about 9-10 hours.
Day 11: Cb Ishinca - Pashpa - Huaraz – Hostal.
Descend from base camp to the village of Pashpa , where private transportation will transfer us back to Huaraz – hostal.
Day 12: Leave Huaraz for Lima (Bus)
Transport from hostel to bus terminal of “Cruz del Sur” and departure from Huaraz

Itinerary:
1st day.-Arrival to Lima.
Pick up at the airport “Jorge Chavez” in Lima and transportation to the reserved hotel in Lima.
2nd day.-Departure from Lima to Huaraz (by bus).
We will travel by bus from Lima to Huaraz, the capital of the district of Ancash (3100m). The transport provided by the company “Cruz del Sur” includes a “bus cama”, an overnight trip with reclined seats.
Departure time from Lima is at 09:30am and we will arrive in Huaraz at 5:30pm.
Pick up at the bus terminal and transfer to the hotel in Huaraz is included.
The staff of "Enrique Expedition Tours" and the mountain guide will give you the information about the last details of the expedition trekking and climbing Santa Cruz – Llanganuco – Mount Vallunaraju.
3rd day.- Acclimation trek to Lake Churup (4450m).
We will leave the city of Huaraz by private bus to Pitec (3850m). First we will pass the colorful villages of Llupa (3650m) outside of Huaraz, where we will have a panoramic view of the southern part of the Cordillera Blanca. Arriving in Pitec we start the hike to the Lake Churup at 4450m. First we enter the valley of Churup, after some hours of walking we will reach the Lake Churup, where we will stay for one hour before we return to our hotel in Huaraz.
After the trekking we will do the organization of personal and mountaineering material and will get logistical information by our mountain guide (UIAGM) about the expeditions we are going to do.
4th day.- Huaraz (3090m) – Caraz (2290m) – Cashapampa (2900m) – Llamacorral (3760m).
Pick up at the hotel and transfer by private transport from Huaraz to the city of Yungay – Caraz. From here on until the village of Cashapampa we can enjoy the east side of the Cordillera Blanca. In Cashapampa, the donkey driver and his donkeys will be waiting for us to transport our trekking gear. From there we start the trek up until we reach our first camp Llamacorral (3760m).
5th day.- Llamacorral (3760m) – Base Camp Alpamayo (4600m) – Taullipampa (4250m).
We will leave the camp Llamacorral and pass by the lakes Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha. On a zigzag path will go up until we arrive at the ravine of Ayhuaycocha. We will head further to the base camp of Mount Alpamayo, where we can see a lake of ice that is named like the ravine. We will enjoy the view of the mountains Aguja, Santa Cruz, Pumapampa, Curuicachajana, Quitaraju, Alpamayo, Pucahirca, Rinrinjirca, Taullipampa, Artesonraju, Paria and Millishraju. While we will return by the same way to Camp Taullipampa (4250m), we will have a very nice view of Mount Taulliraju.
6th day.- Taullipampa (4250m) – Punta Unión (4750m) – Paria Valley (3870m).
This day we will pass Punta Union (4750m), from where you have a breathtaking view of the Cordillera Blanca, as well as of the ravine of Santa Cruz. We will observe the mountains Taulliraju, Rinrijircas, Pucahircas, Quitaraju, Santa Cruz, Artesonraju, Pyramid of Garcilaso, Paria and Millishraju. We will continue our trek to Camp Paria (3870m).
7th day.- Paria Valley (3870m) – Vaqueria (3850m) – Pacchapampa (4130m).
We will hike along the Valley of Huaripampa and observe picturesque villages like Yurma, Huaripampa, Colcabamba. Furthermore we will have a spectacular view of Chacraraju. When we will arrive at the village Vaqueria, we will go further by bus until we arrive at Llanganuco lake. On the way we will go up to Portachuelo pass (4767m), where we will have a view of the main mountains of the Cordillera Blanca - Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Pisco, Chacraraju and Yanapaccha. Later we will descend until we reach Llanganuco lake. There we will take a break to observe it, as well as in the village of Yungay. – We will be back in Huaraz and at our hotel at 4 to 5pm.
8th day.- Resting Day in Huaraz.
You could take the chance to visit the thermal baths of Monterrey, they are highly recommended after an expedition of trekking and ascension.
In the afternoon we will organize the mountaineering material and get the last information by our guide (UIAGM) about our second expedition of climbing Mount Vallunaraju.
9thday.- Huaraz – Llaca Valley (4200m) – Moraine Camp (5000m).
We leave Huaraz by private car to the base camp, located in the Llaca Valley. After arriving at this place you have to go back about 180 meters from the trail that comes from Huaraz. Then we will climb up to the right along a marked path and after 2 hours of walking we will reach the moraine of Mount Vallunaraju, our camp.
10th day.- Moraine Camp (5000m) – Summit Vallunaraju (5686m) –Llanca Valley – Huaraz.
We will leave very early (3-4 am) to the summit. First we will climb up a short slope of 35-40°, after we will arrive the glacier we follow it by gentle slopes until we pass through the left side of Vallunaraju South. After we arrive at the col, connecting the two peaks, we will take the left path with a slope of 40° to reach the summit. There we will have an impressive view of the “Callejón de Huaylas” (Huaylas Corridor). The descent follows the same route to the camp, where we will take a car to Huaraz and our hostel.
11th day.- Departure from Huaraz to Lima (Bus).
Transportation from the hotel to the bus terminal "Cruz del Sur" and departure from Huaraz.
The departure time will be determined by your schedule, in the morning or night.

3rdday.- Acclimation trek to Lake Churup (4450m)
We will leave the city of Huaraz by private bus to Pitec (3850m). First we will pass the colorful villages of Llupa (3650m) outside of Huaraz, where we will have a panoramic view of the southern part of the Cordillera Blanca. Arriving in Pitec we start the hike to the Lake Churup at 4450m. First we enter the valley of Churup, after some hours of walking we will reach the Lake Churup, where we will stay for one hour before we return to our hotel in Huaraz.
The organization of personal material and logistical information for the ascent to Huascaran South Mountain we will do after the trekking in the evening.
(Elevation change: +600m; Duration: approx. 5 hours).
4th day.- Acclimatization trek to Paltay – Honcopampa – Waterfalls of Akilpo (4450m) – Lake Uruscocha – Hotel.
Trekking of 5 to 6 hours. Departure is from Huaraz and it takes about 15 minutes by bus to the village of Paltay (3050m), where the trekking route begins. On our way up we will visit small villages with their individual customs and traditions and can enjoy especially the fields of flowers, which are the economic livelihood of the villagers. After about 4 hours we will reach the highest point (3800m), where you have the view of the Callejon de Huaylas surrounded by the Cordillera Blanca and Negra (white and black mountain range) with its imposing mountains directly in front of us (Vallunaraju, Urus, Tocllaraju, Vicos and Copa).
One hour and a half further down on our way we will reach the village and archaeological center Honcopampa (3500m) with remains, belonging to the Wari culture (700 -1100 BC). After 30 minutes walk from this place we will reach the Akilpo waterfall, which is the most beautiful gift of nature, surrounded by orchids and quenuales.
We will return to Honcopampa, where we will take the transport to our hotel in Huaraz.
5th day.- Huaraz – Yungay – Cebollapampa (3900m) – Base camp Pisco (4665m).
We will leave Huaraz to the north part of the “Callejón de Huaylas” (Huaylas Corredor) to the village of Yungay (2500m). From here we will be diverted to the Llanganuco valley and pass by the two beautiful lakes Chinancocha and Orconcocha, before we will arrive at a place called Cebollapampa (3900m). There the donkey driver and his donkeys will be waiting for us to transport our trekking gear. From there we will start the trek up until we reach after approx. 4 hours the base camp of Mount Pisco (4665m).
6th day.- Base camp (4665m) – Summit of Pisco (5750m) – Base camp (4665m).
This day we will leave the camp at around 03:00 am. From the base camp on our way to the summit we will climb over a moraine, what will take us about 2 hours to pass, before we will arrive at the glacier. Once we are in the glacier, we will climb along some small cracks up until we will reach the summit of Mount Pisco. There we have a large panoramic 360 ° view to majestic mountains like the Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Chacraraju, Artesonraju and Alpamayo. After that we will return to the base camp.
The trail of the ascent to this mountain is not technical, as there are no vertical walls, but the use of all climbing equipment is necessary for your security.
7thday.- Base camp (4665m) – Cebollapampa (3900m) – Cb - Yanapaccha
After breakfast we will pack our camping equipment and the donkey driver will load the donkeys to walk back downhill to Cebollapampa, where we are expected by a bus of the Company "Enrique Expedition Tours", that will bring us to "Portachuelo de Llanganuco" - Trek Cb Yanapaccha.
(Elevation Change: -765 m; Duration: approx. 5 hours).
8th day.- Base camp (4.500m) – Summit of Yanapaccha (5.460m) – Base camp Chopicalqui (4350m).
This day we will leave the camp Yanapaccha and hike to “Portachuelo of Llanganuco”. Our climbing and camping equipment will be transported by our donkeys and their drivers. After about 4 hours of trekking we will arrive at the base camp of Mount Chopicalqui.
9th day.- Base camp (4350m) – Moraine Camp – Camp 1 (5600m).
We will leave the Base camp in direction left upwards to the moraine (5000 m). Before reaching the base of this mountain its ice is getting softer, changing into small hills. We will pass through different glacial layers and reach a big platform, Chopicalqui Camp 1 - Camp in the glacier.
10th day.- Camp 1 (5600m) – Summit of Chopicalqui (6354m) – Base Camp.
Our ascent departure will be early (2-3 am) in the morning to the top of Chopicalqui. On the way to the summit we will avoid cracks until we reach the edge of the ridge, which is a flat and easy area. We will begin the ascent to the summit. Shortly before the summit there is a big crack. The way to come over this crack is to do a technical ice climbing on a vertical wall of 90º - 95º. Once we have overcome this obstacle we will be at the top of Chopicalqui and can enjoy an exceptional view of the Cordillera Blanca. Return to Camp 1 and base camp.
11th day.- Base camp Chopicalqui (4350m)– Portachuelo de Llanganuco – Huaraz.
Today we will return and leave the base camp to get to “Portachuelo de Llanganuco”, where we take the company vehicle "Enrique Expedition Tours" to go back to Huaraz - Hotel.
12th day.- Departure from Huaraz to Lima (Bus).
Transportation from the hotel to the bus terminal "Cruz del Sur" and departure from Huaraz.
The departure time will be determined by your schedule, in the morning or night.
Morning departure: 11:00 am.
Night departure: 10:30 pm.
Pick up at the bus terminal in Lima and transfer to the hotel booked by us.

Then we will go down until we will arrive at Cebollapampa, where we will take again the donkeys to transport our climbing and camping equipment. After that we will hike up until the base camp of Mount Pisco (4600m).
6th day.- Base Camp (4600m) – Summit of Pisco (5750m) – Base Camp (4600m).
This day we will leave the camp at around 03:00 am. From the base camp on our way to the summit we will climb over a moraine, what will take us about 2 hours to pass, before we will arrive at the glacier (approx. 4 hours). Once we are in the glacier, we will climb along some small cracks up until we will reach the summit of Mount Pisco. 8th day.- Resting Day in Huaraz.
In the afternoon we will organize the mountaineering material and get the last information by our guide (UIAGM) about our second expedition of climbing Mount Copa.
9th day.- Huaraz – Marcara – Vicos – Base Camp (4600m).
We will leave Huaraz to the northern part of the “Callejón de Huaylas” (Corridor of Huaylas) in direction to the village of Marcara. From there we will turn to the eastern side of the Cordillera Blanca going up towards the rural community of Vicos. Here we will be expected by the donkey driver with his donkeys to transport the technical and personal equipment to the lake Lejiacocha and the base camp.
10th day.- Base Camp (4600m) – Camp 1 (5200m) – Mount Copa
We will leave the base camp very early to get hike over a moraine above the lake Lejiacocha and head towards Camp 1 (5200m). To get to Camp 1 we will have to pass a rocky area of about 400 meters above where Camp 1 is located. In this part our carriers will carry our staff, because it is impossible to go there with donkeys and if there is snow, we will use our crampons and ice axes. In this area we will orientate us more towards the left side and it is also convenient to pass it very early to avoid falling stones – for our protection we will be using helmets. The slope is about 50-55°.
If it is a dry year there will be snow starting at the middle of the corridor, where you enter the glacier. From this point to Camp 1 we will climb up an interminable slope of 40-45°. We will transport our personal equipment and have to avoid some cracks to reach Camp 1 at 5200m. Here we can enjoy a wonderful view of the big glacier plateau.
11th day.- Camp 1 (5200m) – Summit Mount Copa (6188m) – Base Camp (4600m).
This day we will leave the campsite very early to attack Copa summit (6188m). We will have to take into account that the route varies every year. When we will arrive to the summit we will observe the big ice plateau of this mountain. It is recommended to be at the summit around 12 or 1am in the night. After conquering the top we will descend to Camp 1 and then go further to the base camp.
It is important to know that the route to the summit of Mount Copa is very dangerous, because there are covered cracks.
12th day.- Resting day in case of bad weather.
13th day.- Base Camp (4600m) – Vicos – Huaraz – Hotel.
After a good breakfast our donkey driver will pack the donkeys with our camping and personal equipment to walk back downhill from the base camp to the center of the village Vicos. There we will be expected by a bus of the Company "Enrique Expedition Tours", that will bring us to Huaraz – Hotel.
Departure from Huaraz to Lima (Bus).
Transportation from the hotel to the bus terminal "Cruz del Sur" and departure from Huaraz.

Itinerary:
1st day.-Arrival to Lima.
Pick up at the airport “Jorge Chavez” in Lima and transportation to the reserved hotel in Lima.
2nd day.-Departure from Lima to Huaraz (by bus).
We will travel by bus from Lima to Huaraz, the capital of the district of Ancash (3100m). The transport provided by the company “Cruz del Sur” includes a “bus cama”, an overnight trip with reclined seats.
Departure time from Lima is at 09:30am and we will arrive in Huaraz at 5:30pm.
Pick up at the bus terminal and transfer to the hotel in Huaraz is included.
The staff of "Enrique Expedition Tours" and the mountain guide will give you the information about the last details of the expedition trekking Cedros Alpamayo and climbing Mount Vallunaraju.

3rd day.- Huaraz – Cashapampa (2900m) – Hualcayán (3140m) – Wishcash (4200m).
After breakfast at 6:30 am we will leave Huaraz by private bus to the picturesque village of Cashapampa, from where we follow the road to the archaeological complex of Hualcayán (3140m). Here our donkey drivers with their donkeys will be waiting for us to transport your equipment. From the archaeological complex of Hualcayán we will ascend the typical zigzag path up to 4200m. There we will have one of the best sunsets in the Cordillera Negra and furthermore also enjoy the view of the northern part of the Cordillera Blanca - located in front of our first camp in Wishcash.
4th day.- Wishcash (4040m) – Osorurish (4600m).
We will leave very early to see the lakes of Yanacocha and Chaquicocha. Afterwards we will arrive at the lake Cullicocha with the impressive Mount Santa Cruz (6259m) in its background. Continuing the way we will reach Osorurish pass (4850m), where we will have a view of Mount Millhuacocha (5480m) and part of the valley of the Cedros. We will have our camp in the Andean Pre - Inca Camp in Osorurish.
5th day.- Osorurish (4600m) – Jancarurish (4250m).
After crossing the second pass of Cedros (4750m), we will cross the valleys of los Cedros and Alpamayo. We will observe archaeological remains in form of circular, agricultural terraces belonging to the Recuay culture. Furthermore we have a view of the mountains Millhuacocha, Pilanco, Pumapampa etc. We will continue our trek up to Jancarurish, from where you will have a breathtaking view of mount Alpamayo (5947m). With its pyramidal shape he once won the scenic beauty contest, held in Munich, Germany in 1963 and earned the title of the world's most beautiful mountain.
6th day.- Jancarurish (4250m) – Huillca (4000m).
Advancing through an almost hidden path full of vegetation, we will hike the third pass of Cara Cara (4830m) and descend the valley of Moyobamba. After the fourth pass of Tayapampa (4500m) we will go down the Tayapampa valley to our camp in Huillca.
7th day.- Huillca (4000m) – Jancapampa. (3400m).
Trekking through the Yanta Queñua valley. We will hike the fifth pass of Yanajanca (4600m) and observe Mount Pucahircas until we arrive at our campsite Jancapampa.
8th day.- Jancapampa. (3400m) – Carhuacasha (3950m).
We will descend through the Pingospampa valley and pass Tupa Tupapass (4400m) until we reach at Carhuacasha camp.
9th day.- Carhuacasha (3950m) – Tucubamba (4300m).
This day we will get a view of Huecracocha lake and Taulliraju glacier. We will pass the top of Pucaraju (4650m) and enjoy a panoramic view of the Cordillera Blanca with Taulliraju, Chacraraju etc. Descent to Tuctubamba camp (4300m).
10th day.- Tucubamba (4300 m) – Taullipampa (4250 m).
This day will reach 4750 meters in the Punta Union pass. From this place we will have a breathtaking view of the mountains Taulliraju, Pucajirca, Rinrijirca, Quitaraju, Santa Cruz, Artezonraju, Paria and Pucaraju, as well as observe the Santa Cruz valley and Morocoha. After walking 2 hours we will arrive at our campsite Taullipampa at 4250m.
11th day.- Taullipampa (4250m) – Arhuaycocha Valley (Mount Alpamayo) – Llamacorral (3760m).
Today we are going to see the east face of mount Alpamayo. Afterwards we will hike down to Santa Cruz valley and pass by the lakes Jatuncocha (3900m) and Icchicocha (3850m) to reach after 1 hour at Llamacorral camp.
12th day.- Llamacorral (3760 m) – Cashapampa (2900 m).
This last day we descend along the narrow Santa Cruz valley, next to a clean river, surrounded by vegetation and impressive mountains. After about 4 hours trekking we will arrive in Cashapampa, where the bus of our company “Enrique Expedition Tours” will be waiting for us and take us back to Huaraz.
13th day.- Resting Day in Huaraz.
You could take the chance to visit the thermal baths of Monterrey, they are highly recommended after an expedition of trekking and ascension.
14thday.- Huaraz – Llaca Valley (4200m) – Moraine Camp (5000m).
We leave Huaraz by private car to the base camp of Mount Vallunaraju, located in the Llaca Valley.
Next to the mountain refuge of the “Casa de Guias” we will organize our camp. Here we can do some practical training of rock and ice climbing, as there are walls with routes where we can practice these activities.
Option: It’s also possible to hike up to the moraine camp of Vallunaraju, so it would be easier to ascend the next day.
15th day.- Base Camp Vallunaraju (4200m) – Summit Vallunaraju (5686m) – Huaraz.
We will leave very early (3-4 am) to the summit. First we will you have to go back about 180 meters from the campsite. Then we will climb up to the right along a marked path and after 2 hours of walking we will reach the base of the glacier. From there we will climb up a short slope of 35-40°, after we will follow on the glacier by gentle slopes until we pass through the left side of Vallunaraju South. After we arrive at the col, connecting the two peaks, we will take the left path with a slope of 40° to reach the summit. There we will have an impressive view of the “Callejón de Huaylas” (Huaylas Corridor). The descent follows the same route to the base camp, where we will take a car to Huaraz and our hostel.
16th day.- Departure from Huaraz to Lima (Bus).
Transportation from the hotel to the bus terminal "Cruz del Sur" and departure from Huaraz.
The departure time will be determined by your schedule, in the morning or night.
Morning departure: 11:00 am.
Night departure: 10:30 pm.
Pick up at the bus terminal in Lima and transfer to the hotel booked by us.
17th day.- Transfer from the hotel to the airport - Return to the country of origin.

3rd day.- Acclimation trek to Lake Churup (4450m).
We will leave the city of Huaraz by private bus to Pitec (3850m). First we will pass the colorful villages of Llupa (3650m) outside of Huaraz, where we will have a panoramic view of the southern part of the Cordillera Blanca. Arriving in Pitec we start the hike to the Lake Churup at 4450m. First we enter the valley of Churup, after some hours of walking we will reach the Lake Churup, where we will stay for one hour before we return to our hotel in Huaraz.
4th day.- Huaraz (3100m) – Chiquian – Pocpa (3250m) – Cuartelhuain (3900m).
We will leave Huaraz in the direction to the city of Chiquian (3400m) - Pocpa (3250m), where we will be expected by our donkeys and donkey drivers to pack everything, so that we can start our trekking at around 11am from Pocpa to Cuartelhuain (3900m) – Trekking of approx. 6-7 hours, where we will observe the first mountains like Niashanca. On our way to our first campsite Cuartelhuain we will pass by picturesque villages like Paclla.
5th day.-Cuartelhuain (3900m) – Lake Mitococha (4100m).
Trekking of 5 to 6 hours. This day we will continue our trek to Lake Mitococha (4100m). We will pass the first pass of Cacananpunta (4700m). We will observe some mountains like Ninashanca, Rondoy, the lakes of Pucacocha, Yanacocha Chico and Grande (small and big). Later by descending towards lake Mitococha we will get to see the mountains Rondoy and Hirishanca.
6th day.- Lake Mitococha (4100m) – Lake Carhuacocha (4138m).
Trekking of 6 to 7 hours. We will leave the campsite and continue our trekking in passing the second pass of Punta Carhuac (4650m) and descending through the ravine to our camp Carhuacocha. We will enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains Jirishanca, Yerupaja, Toro, etc.
7th day.- Lake Carhuacocha (4138m)– Huayhuash (4100m).
Trekking of 6 to 7 hours. We will pass the third pass of Carnicero (4600m) and descend in between the lakes of Atocshaico, Carnicero. We will see the mountains Siula, Khural, Carnicero and Trapecio.
8th day.- Huayhuash (4100m) – Lake Viconga (4407m).
Trekking of 5 to 6 hours. We will leave very early to pass the fourth pass of Portachuelo (4750m). There we can see the mountains Puscanturpa, Cuyoc, Millpo and a part of the Cordillera Raura. After we will arrive at our campsite in Viconga (4300m) you will have the chance to take a bath in the hot springs of Atuscancha (4000m).
9th day.- Lake Viconga (4407m) – Cuyocpampa (3900m).
Trekking of 4 to 5 hours. We will pass the fifth pass of Cuyoc (5000m), the highest one of this circuit. On the way we will observe a view of the mountain range of the Cordillera Raura. Hiking down to the camp - Cuyocpampa (3900).
10th day.- Cuyocpampa (3900m) – Lookout San Antonio – Calinca – Huayllapa (3650m).
6 to 7 hours. We will leave the camp and climb up to the lookout San Antonio, where we will have a beautiful view of the Cordillera Huayhuash. From there we will descend along the valley of Calinca to the village Huayllapa, where we will set up our camp.
11th day.- Huayllapa (3650m) – Jashapampa (4700m).
Trekking of 5 to 6 hours. We will leave Huayllapa and head towards Jashapampa (base camp of Diablo Mudo). We will pass the sixth pass of Punta Tapush (4900m) with a view of Mount Diablo Mudo, etc.
12th day.- Jashapampa (4700m) – Summit Diablo Mudo (5350m) – Lake Jahuacocha (4100m).
Today we will conquer the seventh pass of Yaucha (4800m). From there we will descend the valley of Haucrish, where we will observe part of Glacier Hirishanca and Yerupaja. Arrival at our campsite at Lake Jahuacocha.
13th day.- Lake Jahuacocha (4100m) – Llamac (3250m).
Trekking of 5 to 6 hours. We will pass the last pass of Pampa de Llamac (4300m). For the last time we have the opportunity to see the mountains of the Cordillera Huayhuash. Arrival at Llamac, where we will be expected by the bus company "Enrique Expedition Tours" to take us back to Chiquian and Huaraz (same way like the travel from Huaraz).
14th day.- Resting Day in Huaraz.

4th day.- Huaraz (3090m) – Caraz (2290m) – Cashapampa (2900m) – Llamacorral (3760m).
Pick up at the hotel and transfer by private transport from Huaraz to the city of Yungay – Caraz. From here on until the village of Cashapampa we can enjoy the east side of the Cordillera Blanca. In Cashapampa, the donkey driver and his donkeys will be waiting for us to transport our trekking gear. From there we start the trek up until we reach our first camp Llamacorral (3760m).
5th day.- Llamacorral (3760m) – Base Camp Alpamayo (4600m) – Taullipampa (4250m).
We will leave the camp Llamacorral and pass by the lakes Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha. On a zigzag path will go up until we arrive at the ravine of Ayhuaycocha. We will head further to the base camp of Mount Alpamayo, where we can see a lake of ice that is named like the ravine. We will enjoy the view of the mountains Aguja,Santa Cruz, Pumapampa, Curuicachajana, Quitaraju, Alpamayo, Pucahirca, Rinrinjirca, Taullipampa, Artesonraju, Paria and Millishraju. While we will return by the same way to Camp Taullipampa (4250m), we will have a very nice view of Mount Taulliraju.
6th day.- Taullipampa (4250m) – Punta Unión (4750m) – Paria Valley (3870m).
This day we will pass Punta Union (4750m), from where you have a breathtaking view of the Cordillera Blanca, as well as of the ravine of Santa Cruz. We will observe the mountains Taulliraju, Rinrijircas, Pucahircas, Quitaraju, Santa Cruz, Artesonraju, Pyramid of Garcilaso, Paria and Millishraju. We will continue our trek to Camp Paria (3870m).
7thday.- Paria Valley (3870m) – Vaqueria (3850m) – Cebollapampa (3900m) – Base Camp Pisco (4600m).
We will hike along the Valley of Huaripampa and observe picturesque villages like Yurma, Huaripampa, Colcabamba. Furthermore we will have a spectacular view of Chacraraju. When we will arrive at the village Vaqueria, we will have a private bus drive back to Huaraz. We will first drive over the Portachuelo pass (4767 m), where we will have a great view of the Cordillera Blanca and the mountains Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Pisco, Chacraraju and Yanapaccha. Then we will go down until we will arrive at Cebollapampa, where we will take again the donkeys to transport our climbing and camping equipment. After that we will hike up until the base camp of Mount Pisco (4600m).
8th day.- Base Camp (4600m) – Summit of Pisco (5750m) – Base Camp (4600m).
This day we will leave the camp at around 03:00 am. From the base camp on our way to the summit we will climb over a moraine, what will take us about 2 hours to pass, before we will arrive at the glacier (approx. 4 hours). Once we are in the glacier, we will climb along some small cracks up until we will reach the summit of Mount Pisco. There we have a large panoramic 360° view to majestic mountains like the Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Chacraraju, Artesonraju and Alpamayo. After that we will return to the base camp.
9th day.- Base Camp (4600m) – Cebollapampa (3900m) – Yungay – Huaraz – Hotel.
After breakfast we will pack our camping equipment and the donkey driver will load the donkeys to walk back downhill to Cebollapampa, where we are expected by a bus of the Company "Enrique Expedition Tours", that will bring us to Yungay – Huaraz – Hotel.
10th day.- Day of rest in Huaraz
The organization of personal material and logistical information for the ascent to Mountain Huascaran we will do after the trekking in the evening.
11th day.- Huaraz (3090m) – Musho – Huascaran base camp (4800m).
We will leave Huaraz towards Mancos (2530 m). From there we will head up for about 20 kilometers the plane road til the village of Musho which is located in the NE part of Huaraz
In Musho the donkey driver and his donkeys will be waiting for us to transport our trekking gear. From there we will trek up for about 4 hours to the Huascaran base camp (4800m).
(Elevation Change: +1600 m; length: approx. 4-5 hours approx.).
12th day.- Huascaran base camp (4800m) – Camp1 (5500m).
Starting at the base camp in the moraine we will reach the edge of the glacier. From there we will climb higher to get to a safer place, towards the base of a large barrier Seracs. There we will put up our camp 1 in the glacier.
(Elevation Change: +700m; length: approx. 6-7 hours).
13th day.- Camp 1 (5500m) – Camp 2 (6000m).
This day we will continue climbing up directly towards the shield, which is observed - as we move forward - like a triangular hill of about 450m. Once we will be at this place we will pass it. After passing this obstacle, we will ice climb some sections. We will reach by cross climbing the neck, under which in a protected area of avalanches we will build up the Camp 2 of Huascaran (6000m).
(Elevation Change: +500m; length: approx. 6-7 hours).
14th day.- Camp 2 (6000m) – Summit of Huascaran South (6768m) –Camp 1.
The 7th day.- Camp 2 (6000m) - South Summit (6768 m) - C1
We will leave the Camp 2 at about 3:00 am and climb up corridors (65 – 70°), which take us to the top of the neck (6010m). From this point we will be going up long hills, avoiding large cracks until we reach the summit of Huascaran South (6768m).
- It is possible to descend til Camp 1, depending on the fitness.
(Elevation Change: +1968m; length: approx. 9-10 hours).
15th day.- Camp 1(5500m) – Base Camp (4800m).
This day we will return from Camp 1 to Base Camp. Our donkey drivers will carry our mountain equipment down. After arriving at the Base Camp we could use the afternoon to dry our personal climbing gear and camping equipment.
16thday.- Base Camp (4800m) – Musho – Huaraz (3900m) – Hostel.
After packing our camping equipment we will load the donkeys to walk back downhill to Musho, where we are expected by a bus of the Company "Enrique Expedition Tours", that will bring us directly to the city of Huaraz and our hotel. http://www.hoteleltumi.com/

17th day.- Departure from Huaraz to Lima (Bus).
